Curly Hair Extension Care Instructions

Curly fiber hair extensions are easy to care for, but to ensure their longevity and beautiful appearance, it is important to follow the right care routine. Here are comprehensive instructions for washing, drying, scalp care, and removing your curly fiber extensions.

Washing

Curly hair extensions can withstand normal washing, so they can get wet in the shower or rain without any problems. Washing your extensions properly will help keep your hair clean and prevent potential scalp problems.

• Wash your scalp as needed using a shampoo and water mixture. For example, you can mix shampoo and water in a bottle, shake it up to create a lather, and apply it to your scalp. This will gently cleanse your scalp without any unnecessary rubbing.

• Rinse your scalp thoroughly until all the shampoo is removed.

• Fiber hair does not absorb water, so it dries quickly, but your own hair inside the braids dries more slowly.

• A cool blow from a hair dryer can help dry your hair after washing.

Drying and overnight care

Drying is an important part of caring for curly hair extensions, as damp hair can cause an uncomfortable feeling on the scalp and increase bacterial growth.

• Make sure both your extensions and your own hair are completely dry before going to bed or putting them in a bun.

• For the night, we recommend a light attachment on top of the head, for example in a loose braid or bun.

• You can also use a soft night cap or satin cap to protect your extensions and reduce chafing.

Sweating and scalp care

If you sweat a lot, for example when playing sports or in hot weather, keeping your scalp clean is especially important.

• Washing your scalp after sweating is recommended to keep your scalp fresh and healthy.

• Shampoo should always be rinsed thoroughly to avoid leaving residue on the scalp that could irritate the skin or cause itching.

• Saunas are not recommended for curly hair extensions as the heat can straighten the curls. However, if you want to go to the sauna, you can protect your hair with a towel to prevent it from getting too hot.

Clearing up the mess

Curly fiber hair extensions can get tangled, so it is important to detangle them regularly.

• Detangle your hair with your fingers at least in the morning and evening to prevent larger tangles from forming.

• It is not recommended to brush curly hair, as the brush can loosen the curl and cause frizz.

• It is a good idea to carefully cut away any very tangled areas to keep the extensions looking neat and beautiful.

Removing extensions

Hair extensions should be removed in a timely manner to keep your hair and scalp in good condition.

• The recommended period of use is 6–8 weeks after attachment.

• When braiding, the hair that naturally falls out gets caught in the extensions, so the amount of hair that falls out after removing the extensions may seem large. This is completely normal, as the hair that falls out daily is not allowed to fall out normally during braiding.

Recommended washing products

The right washing products help keep your extensions and your own scalp healthy.

• You can use any shampoo that is suitable for your scalp to wash your scalp.

• The lengths and ends of the fiber hair do not need to be washed separately – it is enough for them to be rinsed off with the shampoo residue when washing the scalp.

• You can spray a light conditioner on the lengths of the extensions to help keep the curls neat and tangle-free.

• In our selection you will find care products suitable for curly hair extensions, such as the Shea Moisture Wig & Weave series , which moisturize and care for the hair fiber and help reduce tangles.

By following these instructions, your curly hair extensions will stay beautiful and in good condition for as long as possible!
